I'm planning a trip to Sabah next year,see if you are interested to go together.


Basic information:

Itinerary:

Day 1: flight
Day 2: Mt Kinabalu (神山)+ Via Ferrata (adventure)
Day 3: Mt Kinabalu + Via Ferrata(adventure)
Day 4: Island tour and/or city walkand/or wildlife safari (relax)
Day 5: Island tour and/or city walkand/or wildlife safari (relax)
Day 6: Mountain bike + white waterrafting (adventure)
Day 7: Mountain bike + white waterrafting (adventure)
Day 8: flight


Details:

1. Why choose February to April?
Refer tohttp://www.wordtravels.com/Cities/Malaysia/Sabah/Climate,Sabah has the least rainfall in these months, which means we have the highest chance to take part in all adventure activities.

2. Where does the money go?
I planned to join local tours for the“Mt Kinabalu + Via Ferrata” & “Mountain bike + white waterrafting”.  They cost HK$3,500 and HK$2,000 respectively.  Airticket is around HK$700 round trip from AirAsia.  Five extra nightsin hotel would cost around HK$2,000.  Remaining budget goes to food,traveling and miscellaneous activities such as snorkeling.

3. What is “Mt Kinabalu + ViaFerrata”?
Mt Kinabalu, 4095m, is the highest mountain in the south-east asia.  Via Ferrata is a rock-climbing like activities newly installed to Mt Kinabalu.  Please refer to the following website for details:

5. Information of the Mountain bike + white water rafting tour?

6. Why I have to organize the trip soooooo early?
Mt Kinabalu packages should be booked 4-month in advance. If we go there in Feb2011, we have to book it in Oct 2010. Therefore, it is an appropriate time to initiate discussions.
